THE HOTEL
Pontac Manor Hotel is a celebrated establishment in the historic town of Paarl, at the heart of the Cape Winelands, close to Cape Town. Surrounded by majestic oak trees and manicured gardens, situated on the slopes of Paarl Mountain, Pontac Manor hotel has been restored to its former Victorian elegance and welcomes guests from all around the globe with 4-star elegance and charm.
The hotel was built in the 1700s and was named Pontac in 1723, by the first owner Pierre De Labuschagne, a native of the Bordeaux region in France. Pierre was a keen admirer of the courtly du Pontac family who governed the area at the time. The hotel still holds the original historic features in its architecture and furnishing, which all reflect on an era of gracious living. The hotel has a luxurious, yet homely atmosphere with first-class service and traditional style. Pontac Manor also provides genteel hospitality to create a classic guest house feel with a warm and welcoming ambiance.
The hotel rooms are all individually decorated. A combination of spaciousness, comfort, and elegance. Beyond providing a breakfast array that gets high praise from our patrons, Pontac Manor also has an in-house café, called Peaches & Cream and a restaurant on site Cattle Baron. Both offer a wide-ranging, beautifully prepared à la carte menu.
We had a wonderful stay. Loved the charm and comfort of this hotel and the helpful friendly staff. We will always dream of coming back here. Thank you all!
